With inquiries from runners, the running course of The North Face 100®
2010 was posted on the official website on March 24th. We suggest runners study
the route and are fully prepared for the upcoming challenge.
The event organizing committee has done dramatic work in defining a beautiful
scenic running course yet challenging; and aims to provide runners a pleasant
running experience. |

| 50KM Course Description |
|

50KM course starts at the Ming Tombs Reservoir
Platform which was specially built for the
triathlon of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and
Paralympics. The off-road trails reach 60% (vs
17% for 40KM in 2009). The lowest altitude is
100 meters at the Start, and the highest of 700
meters at the peak of Yinshan Pagoda Forest,
with 600 meters altitude difference.
Runners start from the Ming Tombs Reservoir
Platform, followed by Python Mountain Park, the
biggest national forest park in Beijing. Then
passing by the biggest man-made lake - Heaven
Lake and go downhill to De Tomb. Running through
two rough passages, going into the Buddhist holy
land – Yinshan Pagoda Forest and join the
runners of 100KM. All the runners will walk
thousands of stairs to the highest point of
whole course (700 meters high) and then go down
to mild path and paved road. Passing through
dates garden and get to Xian Tomb. Through Chang
Tomb, encountering with bamboo and cypress, they
will get to the last part of road - Yong Tomb
Ancient Path, a path built in. Runners will go
around the south of Ming Tombs Reservoir and
finally get back to the Ming Tombs Reservoir
Platform and finish the whole route. |

Beijing International Endurance Challenge are full now.
The registration is closed. You are welcome to visit the
event with your friends and family on May 8th, Saturday.
Your support and interest in the event is highly
appreciated. You are sincerely welcomed to attend the
event in 2011. |

The North Face® lunched
“Write Blog, Win a Souvenir” encouraging runners to
write and share running experience with each other.
Anyone participates “Outdoor Running Clinic” or “The
North Face 100®” event, and post a running
blog online will have an opportunity to win The North
Face souvenir.
How to participate: Send your blog linkage to
thenorthface_cn@vfc.com from March 27th to May 8th.
Then you are entitled a souvenir.
. Write down “Your Name + Write Blog, Win Souvenir” in
email subject
. There are total 500 souvenirs. First come, first
served

1. As event Official Hotel, the
Westin Hotel is located on Financial Zone of Beijing
with convenience traffic. They provide special discount
for runners with RMB1100 per room net (including one
breakfast). Please call 86-10-66068866 to book room in
time.
2. The North Face 100® 2010 Beijing International
Endurance Challenge Official Hospitality Service
Provider - China Travel Service Head Office (Beijing)
Co., Ltd. provides runners with five discount hotel
Special Packages (including accommodation, breakfast,
shuttle bus between the hotel and the venue). Runners
can consult by phone (86-10-85908722/ 85908741) or
visit the official website for details about the
ordering procedures and package types. Reservation of
the hotel packages shall be submitted and confirmed
through mail and the full amount of the payment shall be
paid in advance. The deadline for the official
hospitality service provider to accept reservations
shall be April 20, 2010. Please make reservation in
